Midnight Adventures WA Sign
For one of my long-time followers, this sign depicting his logo spans 15” in diameter! After an unfortunate multiple months of downtime with my large format printer, while waiting for parts, this its first full-time job back in action! The intention was that this piece would be mounted onto a contrasting backplate by the customer.
To make this sign, a high resolution 2D file of the logo was provided by the customer. Using the file as a guide, I created the 3D model at the requested size and modified it to print as a single connected piece. The original logo was designed with separation between the two outer rings.
While the mountains were connected to the bottom third of the inner ring, the text was isolated and would have been free-floating. The customer requested that the entire piece be connected so it could be mounted as one unit, rather than than in sections, so connecting tabs were added between the free floating parts. The design elements of the piece were extruded to a thickness of roughly 1/2”, while the connecting tabs extruded to half that to provide visual separation.
